TVissimo Features:
1. Finding the TV shows I want to watch quickly and easily.
TVissimo provides search features similar to the major Internet search engines and other sophisticated search tools. There are searches for broad Categories (referred to as Genres), specific detailed Categories and Program Names. One can also search by content, actors, hosts, length, ratings and practically any criteria you can think of.
Search the way you want and let the system show you all the Television shows matching your criteria. Once you find the shows, show categories or program types you like, you can save these in your profile as your personal TV show favorites. In the future you can simply specify a time slot and see when and what channel any of these show types, or specific shows are being aired.

2. Never having to read a printed listing of TV shows I have no interest in watching.
Reading printed Television show listings in newspapers, weekly TV show guides or TV magazines is about as exciting and beneficial as reading a 28-volume encyclopedia from cover to cover in order to find an interesting and relevant article. The encyclopedia provides a handy and precise index in order to find the article you are looking for. An Internet Search Engine provides a search field to specify your interest, and so does TVissimo.
This way you are unlikely to ever refer to a printed Television show listing ever again. Rather, just go to the website, enter any topic of interest and - BINGO - you can see the shows and their air times without any further delay, page turning, etc.

3. Never having to scroll through an Internet TV show list that I have no interest in watching.
Internet TV show listings consist of an on-line version of the printed Television show schedules. You are going to scroll through tens or hundreds of channels, trying to find the shows that interest you. Some services allow you to declare certain channels as your "favorites" but not specific shows.
In our view, most people have their own favorite TV show "TYPES" matching their own personal selection criteria. It is generally true that your favorite Television shows are most likely to appear on certain channels, but most people do not necessarily include ALL shows on those channels as their personal favorites.
That's why the TVissimo favorite selection is based on show categories, types or program names, rather than on channels. This way we enable you to see only the shows you like, rather than all shows appearing on a channel that usually carries some of your favorites.
Our unique feature of defining favorites makes a huge difference in the relevance, brevity and accuracy of the results.

6. Never having to see listings of TV channels I can not access on my local service
Have you seen Television channels in a TV schedule guide listing that you cannot get at your location?
THAT will never happen to you on the TVissimo service. Once you let the system know your zip code, the available service providers will be shown for your selection. Once you've identified your own service provider, only the channels available to you are shown on your listings.
Now you'll never have to look at programs you cannot possibly watch. Naturally, if you do not subscribe to Premium channels, those programs will not be available to you, until and unless you do subscribe to them.

7. Being reminded of the time the TV show I am interested in, without having to log in and search for it again later.
So you found the program you want to watch, but do you need to mark it on your calendar?
NO.
That's what the Alert feature is designed for. You simply tell the system what kind of Alert you want to receive (eMail or Twitter message) and with what kind of lead time (days or hours before show time). And you can also send such alerts to family and friends.

9. Knowing what channels and times my favorite TV shows are scheduled for when I go out of town
Your favorite show is on Channel 5 at 8 p.m. at your house. You are going on a trip and don't want to miss seeing it while out of town.
What can you do?
No big deal. Simply tell the system the zip code where you are going to be, (the service provider at your destination if you know it - only critical for the precise channel, which you can find out once you get there), and the system will tell you if and when the show is on. Send yourself an Alert, and you are unlikely to miss your show ever again.
