• spending way too much time flipping the channel button.
  (at the same time that we annoy our spouse/partner)

• never finding shows of much interest on the satellite or cable company's channel guide.

• having no patience to read the endless television schedule listing
  in a newspaper or the on-screen channel guides.

And finally we decided if nobody will do it, we will do it ourselves.

We took a high-tech approach to a low-tech problem most of us experience almost daily.
